The only environmentally friendly dishwasher detergent that worked for me…
I had tried many other environmentally friendly dishwasher detergents before this one, and none of them got my dishes clean despite excellent reviews by friends. I was thrilled to finally find one that got my dishes clean. I did not experience the film that other reviewers mention. Perhaps another reviewer is right about water type making a difference w/ these products, or perhaps it is the combination of water type and the dishwasher itself. We have hard water w/ lots of iron in it. Thumbs up here!
Not worth it
I try to buy green products. I decided to give this a shot. It really does not work well at all. This is the first time I have been moved to declare my feelings for a product on Amazon before. That’s how strongly I want to insist that you don’t waste your money on this product. It may be nicer on the environment in the short run, but not it you have to wash all your dishes 4 times.
Cleans well, left film behind
I bought Sun & Earth because I use there other products (laundry and dish soap) hoping for the same great results. I have to say they got all the dishes including the crock pot(after cooking chilli) spotless. BUT there was a WHITE CLOUDY FILM left behind on everything. I have a new top of the line GE dishwasher and with using other products everything came out squeeky clean.
If I put everything threw a second time on the “speed cycle” with no soap they come out clean. My problem is if I’m using a product that is eco friendly & safe, why would I want to waste any more water than I have to inorder for it to work.
I am disappointed, get rid of the film and I’m a life time customer.
Love this Automatic Dishwasher Detergent
I can’t believe what I’m reading. My results were great. I have been using Sun & Earth Automatic Dishwasher Detergent for over a year and I always had good results. It even gets off dried egg yoke! Very easy to use I just throw one of the little square pillows in the silverware basket and my dishes, silverware and glasses look great. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.
Environmentally Safe Automatic Dish
I used this product at a hotel in the Florida Keys. They need to use items that don’t have a negative effect on the ground water. I liked it there very much and was able to find it a home in Pennsyvanina as well. I have a septic system and well water so I am very careful to use products that will not imbalance those systems. I have never experienced the film the other reviewers did must have been an isolated issue. I use their laundry detergent and fabric softner as well and love both of them. There’s a reason for that too - it does an excellent job! Love the smell, the dishes are perfectly clean, and it’s priced right as well. The reviewer with the Bosch dishwasher probably is not aware that Bosch’s do NOT have a garbage disposal like all American model dishwashers do. I had one, I know! Took the thing back too, which is probably why her dishes came out funny. Anyway, this product works fantastic in my Kitchenaid dishwasher and I can’t recommend it enough!
Do not buy Finish or Electrasol
I have a Bosch dishwasher, which is pretty new. I have used several different types of dishwasher detergent in the last year. Recently I purchased Finish detergent in the Orange fragrance. I was confused why all my food and drink was bitter, thinking it may have been the anti-biotic I was taking. NO. Turns out everyone in my home had noticed the same problem. We drink a lot of water and the flavor was terrible. It got to where I was going around licking things. I finally figured out it was the dishwasher detergent. After a short wash with no soap after a regular wash cycle, we could stand to use our dishes. We prefer store brand lemon or better yet Cascade. We will never forget this experience. Crazy! Why would you make dishwasher detergent that would not rinse off and make the dishes taste bitter?

Dishwasher Junkie starting a green life
So I have recently decided to go green for many reasons, mainly for the planet and because of my 1 year old son. It seems that only natural products should be used on dishes that he’ll be eating off of. Anyway, I LOVE my dishwasher, not because it’s fancy but because I love just loading it up at night and then going off to bed, knowing that I’ll wake up to clean dishes in the morning. So, I was extremely pleased when I opened my dishwasher after using this detergent for the first time to find sparkling dishes with no smell or residue. I will never go back to the non-natural stuff!!
Works great!
I recently bought this product, trying to go with something that’s good for the environment and was eligible for Prime shipping. So, without any reviews I had to go with this product and see if it works.
The dishes, cups, silverware came out sparkling clean. Not a spot, and even dries pretty spotless without any additional products. Definitely a good product and worth trying it out.

Hardwater Deposit get blasted
I live in area where the water is as hard as rocks. All appliances become coated with Hardwater deposits. You literally have to take the appliance apart and scrape off the deposits. I have been looking for anything to help for the mineral deposits.
I tried Quantum Power Ball and the inside of my dishwasher looks great. The mineral deposits around the heating element have been cleaned away. I had deposits on my racks and you could hear the motor, it sounded like rocks were in it, all has been clean up. This is my new dishwasher detergent. At least I won’t have to buy a new appliance every 3 years. Thank you for this new detergent.
the diamond standard
Although Electrasol has been around since the ’60s or ’70s, Quantum is totally brand-new. I never thought Electrasol could get any better until I used this for the first time a few weeks ago. It does everything for me, prewashes, cleans, rinses and even dries. Everything comes out of my dishwasher sparkling. Unlike some types of dishwashing tablets, Quantum is very consistent. You will get high-quality, perfect results no matter how you load your dishwasher and no matter what you’re cleaning. I also use Turbo Dry which is the perfect compliment because it gets all of my dishes (and especially my flatware) extra shiny and extra, extra bone-dry; there’s nothing I hate more than taking out wet/damp dishes out of the dishwasher. I use this a minimum of once a day. I also like Quantum tablets because they do not have to be unwrapped (like the powerballs) and they rarely stick together (like the jell ones). They are also nice to look at so I keep them out all the time in a matching canister.

Still Looking…
I’m still looking for a green dishwash liquid. I used a lot of this product compared to a squirt or two of Palmolive or Dawn. There are hardly any suds and the ones that do form disappear pretty quickly. Also, the grease cutting power of this product is weak. I’m currently using Dishmate by Earth Friendly and I can say that Biokleen lasts a little longer than this product. It gets 3 stars for being a green product and outlasting Dishmate.
My favorite dishsoap!
This is the best dishwashing liquid I’ve ever used! My glasses get so shiney, I cannot believe it. That proves to me that it leaves no soap residue behind.
Remember it’s not the suds that count. I does make suds but they don’t last the longest. The dishes get super clean so there are no worries.
I let them soak (if needed)for about 15 minutes and then it’s super easy washing.
It’s also not harsh on your skin which I appreciate!!

Works better for your Miele
If you invest in a Miele (which I do recommend) - this product works far better than the grocery store brands with the sophisticated Miele rinse system/cleaning technology. Remember Miele’s are supposed to be used by putting unwashed dishes into the machine - not pre-washed. This means the rinse agent needs to be pretty special. This is - can’t find it anywhere else than Amazon. Well worth it.
